Early April is Full of Fun

There are always interesting things happening in Palm Beach County the first week of April…

The Palm Beach Symphony will have a lovely concert entitled Romantic Reflections, April 17th at 8 PM at the Kravis. Go to kravis.org for further information – it’s sure to be a great performance.

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County will have a series of special events on Saturday April 7th, starting at 11 AM and ending around 6 PM. The event is called The Swamp, and it’s all about the Everglades, and how to preserve them. For further information, go to HSPBC.org.

There is another fun event happening at the Palm Beach Zoo! Over 25 local breweries will be on site with live music, all available on the 7th of April at 6 PM – it’s Brew at the Zoo! Go to www.palmbeachzoo.org for more information regarding this fun evening.

Through Saturday, a classic murder-mystery drama called Blackout, live at the Delray Beach Playhouse. Visit the delraybeachplayhouse.com for more information.

Edgar and Emily, a play about the encounter between Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allen Poe is happening at the Palm Beach Dramaworks, a wonderful theater on Clematis Street. Contact them at 561-514-4042 for further information.

My favorites Jill and Rich Switzer are performing at the Rrazz Room down in Boca Raton on the 22nd of April! Get your tickets now – you’ll definitely see me there, and probably a lot of other people from Legends Radio!

My charity pick of the week is Pantry Food Drive, all over the county through April 23rd. There are a lot of ways to take care of people in need. Go to United Way 561-655-1919 for more information regarding the drop-off facilities.

March is Marvelous in Palm Beach County

February is flying by and March is coming in with a roar! There is so much going on to report!

Yale’s Whiffenpoofs are coming back and being sponsored by the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach this Friday, March 2nd from 4 to 5 o’clock at Pan’s Garden in Palm Beach. If you have any questions, call 561-832-0731.

And, Rumor Willis, Bruce Willis’s daughter is coming in to sing on March 29th through the 31st. I still don’t know if there’s even a seat left for Steve Tyrell – make your reservations now at thecolonypb.com.

Deb Silver has been asked to come back every Saturday through the month of March at Voltaire through popular demand again! Fabulous show with an incredible jazz band – it was like being at The Blue Note! Contact subculture.org/voltaire for further information.

One of my favorite events of the season is Sunfest, which doesn’t come here until May 3rd through the 6th. However, up until the 9th of March you can get a tremendous discount on a four-day pass at sunfest.com.

A true tasty treat is to take the walking tour called The Food Tours in West Palm Beach! A perfect evening out for a couple, an outing with friends, or an excursion with the whole family. For information go to wpbfoodtour.com.

Spring in to May Days

As the marvelous month of May moves on, and June jumps in, there are a lot of fun activities to look forward to this week in Palm Beach County!

An interesting exhibit at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach is Pen to Paper: Artists Hand-Written Letters, from the Smithsonian Archives of American Art. The exhibition is on display through June 5th.
