I’m on island, settling in to my little summer cottage in beautiful Nantucket! Here are the best events you don’t want to miss this June.
The Nantucket Film Festival takes place between June 19th and 24th! It always offers a fun mix of films, and is a perfect event for all ages. I’ll be there for sure! If you can’t get enough of festivals, the Nantucket Book Festival is taking place from June 13th through the 16th, featuring guest speakers, storytime readings and more.
On the Fourth of July, there’s an unbelievable parade with so much activity down the magic cobblestone Main Street. The fireworks show with the backdrop of the beautiful ocean just can’t be beat!
No matter what your destination is this summer, whether you’re traveling North, South, East or West, I can assist you with your wardrobe needs. Remember, it’s all about style!
This time of year, it’s such a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of all the natural beauty of Palm Beach County.
It’s not too crowded this time of year, and it’s much nicer than having to drive to the Everglades and navigate through the swamps. It’s easy to explore the Nature in our own backyard!
These wonderful places in Palm Beach County have a multitude of recreational activities to enjoy. Places with boardwalks are great, because they are handicap accessible, and you can use the boardwalk to explore all the natural beauty of the swamp lands. There are trails to hike, and wonderful opportunities for bird-watching. You can see the most incredible flowers in bloom, wildlife, and plant life.
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse has tours, and has beautiful landscaping and natural plant life. Many of the other locations listed above allow you to get up close and personal to the scrubs, the rare plants, the birdwatching, the marshes, and more.
This is the perfect time of year to explore the natural beauty around us. Many of these recreational activities are free! Just remember – whether you’re exploring Nature on a beautiful boardwalk, or hiking to a winery, it’s all about style.
This week, it’s all about Nature! This May in Palm Beach County, everything is in bloom, the grass is green, and the flowers are fragrant.
I suggest you make time to visit Singer Island, and walk along the beaches there. You can visit the Flagler Museum, and walk along the Intercoastal Waterway, as you enjoy the ocean views. You can walk or ride along the bike trail, and enjoy the beautiful homes and greenery along the way.
Just a reminder, we’re in turtle season! There are lots of turtles nesting on the beaches, so be careful! You can always visit more animals at the Palm Beach Zoo, where they are always offering new animal experiences.
It’s also a great time of year to take a stroll on Worth Avenue. Take a walk through all the little vias, and enjoy the architecture of the classic buildings. Remember, every Friday the Norton Museum hosts Art After Dark. It’s a marvelous place to enjoy nature, have a cocktail, and their sculpture garden.
Now that many residents have already gone North, it’s a great time to see everything Palm Beach County has to offer, without the crowds. Whether you’re strolling down Worth Avenue for some shopping, or taking pictures of turtles on the beach, remember, it’s all about style!

On May 16th at the Kravis Center is Kinky Boots. It’s going to be such a fun show! Get your tickets online at kravis.org. In Delray on May 29th, The Lunafest Film Festival at Old School Square will be going on. It’s a wonderful festival, and I always go – I will probably see you there!
This coming Thursday, and the third Thursday of every month, there will be a free Art Walk and concert with local bands at the Arts Garage in Delray. What a wonderful way to spend an evening, and, it’s free!On Monday, May 27th around 11 AM, go to the Wick Theatre in Boca Raton and take a look at their costume museum! They are hosting an exhibition called Those Were The Days, that pays homage to all the Broadway Shows of the 50s and 60s. As a fashion designer, I always find their museum to be fascinating.
