Bonnie’s Buzz About Town – April 2nd, 2020

During these challenging times, I want you to know, it’s important to stay safe, and stay home. There are still plenty of things to help us to stay busy, and I’m so impressed with all of the talent that’s been shared on the Internet.

If you don’t have Zoom, it’s a really great app to have during times like this. You can have visits with your entire extended family online, visit with friends, or even have a happy hour online with people close to you. You can use it with business associates, or enjoy entertainment.

I also wanted to let you know that almost every restaurant is providing curbside service for food, and even drinks! There are plenty of ways to still support your favorite spots to eat. Don’t forget about the app Instacart, which is super helpful for shopping and delivery.

One of the most exciting things in store for you, is that I am going to be doing Bonnie’s Fashion Buzz! I will be doing a live video series on Facebook Live each week dayat 3 p.m. Eastern Time, so be sure to tune in and watch as I educate you on all my fashion knowledge over the years. It’s going to be so much fun!

Bonnie’s Buzz About Town – March 26th, 2020

There are still things for me to buzz about, and I thought I would pass along some great information that might be useful for everyone still looking for fun activities.

You can still get food delivered. Download the app called Instacart – check it out and see if that’s useful for you. Also, it’s the perfect time to listen to audiobooks. There’s an app called Overdrive, that feels like you’re walking in to a library with a million books that you can listen to.

Seth Rudetsky, a friend of mine, is doing a show online called Stars in the House, which supports employees of the entertainment industry who are out of work right now. Definitely check that out. There are a lot of virtual museum tours, and I found this fabulous link through Travel + Leisure – explore the best galleries in the world without leaving your house!

For those who are local, the Palm Beach Post has a list of all the restaurants who are serving curbside. On Legends Radio, Jill and Rich of The Morning Lounge are doing a Quarantini Cocktail hour online at 4 o’clock Thursdays, and sometimes on the weekend. Watch it on their Facebook page.

Remember, I’m still here as your stylist consultant, and I can assist you virtually! Use Facetime, Whatsapp, or Zoom to take me right into your closet. I can showcase my clothing for you, and ship it right to your door.

Also, remember that the Thin Line Film Festival is still showing films virtually. You can sign up to watchmy film, Days of My Life, by going to thinline.us and clicking on STREAM. My film will be showing at 12:30 p.m.

Bonnie’s Buzz About Town – March 5th, 2020

March is coming in with a roar – there is so much to do in Palm Beach County!

Jazz on J Street is happening on March 17th, so put it in your calendar! There will be multiple fantastic jazz artists to celebrate Saint Patty’s Day. This Friday night at Cafe Centro, is a special appearance by Lilian and Maycol. I’m looking forward to that!

Miss Saigon opens this coming week at the Kravis Center. Visit kravis.org for tickets. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a fabulous show on Broadway that’s won numerous awards. Another fabulous evening idea is Evening on Antique Row! Enjoy drinks, food and music while you sip and shop for beautiful antiques. Go to hspbc.org for information regarding tickets.

The Funky Biscuit in Boca always has a fabulous Blues Night on Monday night. Usually my friend Mark Telesca is the host, and you get to hear him jam as well. On Saturday in Lake Worth at the Lake Worth Historical Museum, artist Jill Karlin will be having a fabulous exhibition of her paintings, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

So whether you’re going to a gallery show, or strolling down antique row, remember that it’s all about style!

Bonnie’s Buzz About Town – February 27th, 2020

Happy Leap Year! This week, we get an extra day to celebrate our time here in Palm Beach County.

You can go to the GreenMarket on the 29th, and get some wonderful fresh veggies and produce. Once you have your munchies, head on over to the Antique Market on Clematis Street. While you’re out and about, check out the new Rosemary Square. The new Ben Hotel has just opened, and it has a beautiful rooftop bar to check out.

Another thing to get excited about is taking the Brightline on March 8th, to go to Broward Center for the Performing Arts and see Melissa Errico – it should be a fabulous show, so get your tickets now. If you haven’t gotten your tickets for Steve Tyrell at Table 26 in West Palm Beach, he’s there for four nights. He’ll be performing there from March 8th to March 12th – get your tickets before they sell out!

You don’t want to miss Avery Sommers and Rob Russell in their new show, I Love Being Here With You at the North Palm Beach Country Club. There will also be an after dinner cabaret show. Check out more information about the show at LegendsRadio.com.

Over at Cafe Centro, it’s Gregg Jackson’s birthday Friday night, and it’s also a wonderful place to go dancing to those Motown sounds. For more culture, head to the Paul Fisher Gallery to see Camilla Webster’s art on Friday night. There is a lot going on this week, and so many fun events to attend.

So whether you’re going to a gallery exhibition or you’re going shopping on Clematis Street, remember, it’s all about style!

Bonnie’s Buzz About Town – February 6th, 2020

I am busy buzzing around like a little bee! Life in Palm Beach County is so full of wonderful activities.

The Palm Beach International Jazz Festival is taking place on the 15th, so be sure to get your tickets early. There are two different shows at the Kravis Center – one is a matinee, one is in the evening. You can order your tickets online here.

A wonderful artist, Phillip Ross Munro, has an exhibition going on at the Cultural Council at their gallery in Lake Worth. His work will be on display through February 22nd. The Samuel Owen Gallery in Palm Beach has just opened recently on Brazilian, and they are one of my favorite galleries from Nantucket. Be sure to stop in and introduce yourself – they’ll be so happy to meet you! Be sure to tell them, Bonnie’s Buzz sent you…

There’s a wonderful event coming up in March that I want you to make a note of. It’s Melissa Errico and she’s doing a tribute to Michel Legrand on March 8th at the Parker Playhouse. It’s worth it to purchase tickets early, since it might sell out. Consider taking the Brightline down and then Ubering to the event if you don’t want to drive all the way to the Fort Lauderdale area. Melissa Errico is phenomenal, and Michel Legrand’s songs are the greatest!

It’s the 17th Annual Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Show in mid February, from the 13th through the 18th. That’s going to be amazing! Don’t forget, on the upper level you’ll find the Craft Show. The Convention Center does a great job of laying out all the interesting pieces to explore.

The BIJOUX! Show, which is usually at the Norton Museum every year, will be at the Armory Arts Center this year. That will be happening from the 5th through the 9th of February. There will even be a special guest that evening – Iris Apfel will be stopping by on Thursday during the 4 o’clock hour, so be sure to say hi.

Don’t forget to watch the Oscars on Sunday, February 9th! Whether you’re going to the Jazz Festival, or you’re dressing up for an Oscar party, remember, it’s all about style.
