Thursday nights at Bassa Groove at The Dirty Martini at Downtown at the Gardens is just moving and grooving with a swingin’ band. Lots of dancing and a great time for all!
My movie pick of the week is Book Club! It opens this weekend and certainly has a stellar cast: Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen – definitely catch this flick if you can!
Doobie Brothers John McPhee and Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons along with Steely Dan will be co-headlining the Summer of Living Dangerously on May 17th at Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. Sounds like a great night to me! Check the papers regarding time and ticket information.
Avenue Q the musical will be at the Kravis Center from May 25th through June 10th ! For ticket information, go to their website, kravis.org or call 561-832-7469. I saw the show on Broadway – extremely entertaining for all ages!
Exciting news for us West Palm Beachers: the Brightline will be starting to run their trains all the way to Miami starting May 19th. I took a ride down to Fort Lauderdale, and boy, it beat the traffic – what a fun way to get to Miami!
The Palm Beach Zoo is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this coming year, and just won one of the top tourism awards in the country – if you haven’t been this year, it’s a must!
Just remember, it doesn’t matter if you’re taking the Bright Line down to Miami or you’re moving and grooving to Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, it’s all about style.

Our annual Sunfest from May 3rd to the 6th in West Palm Beach. Four days, three stages, 50 bands, and thousands of people all having a wonderful time. Definitely get your tickets and check it out, you don’t want to miss.
The movie that everyone has been waiting for, The Avengers: Infinity War has a cast that’s phenomenal: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Josh Brolin…A must see, especially on the IMAX if you get a chance!
This Saturday Night at Voltaire on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, there will be a Tropical Night of Jazz with Deb Silver! She’ll be singing and swinging, a must see – I see her every time she is in town, she’s one of my favs, and I recommend it to everyone!
Spring has sprung, and there’s some wonderful art to still see at the Norton Art Museum, especially Thursday nights from 5 PM to 9 PM, it’s Art After Dark – check it out!
It’s Cinco de Mayo Day on Saturday, and there will be a mariachi band called Poncha Villa at the Mandel Public Library. Check wpb.org or call 561-868-7701 for further information.
Florida’s largest monthly antique event is taking place soon. The Vintage Deco and Antique Festival is held from May 4th through the 6th, at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Lots of amazing pieces, and over 200 dealers!
Mother’s Day is right around the corner on the 13th of May. Make your reservations early, from tea at the Flagler Museum to wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch at the Colony Hotel. It should be a wonderful way to spend time with the family.

The Palm Beach Symphony will have a lovely concert entitled Romantic Reflections, April 17th at 8 PM at the Kravis. Go to kravis.org for further information – it’s sure to be a great performance.
The Historical Society of Palm Beach County will have a series of special events on Saturday April 7th, starting at 11 AM and ending around 6 PM. The event is called The Swamp, and it’s all about the Everglades, and how to preserve them. For further information, go to HSPBC.org.
There is another fun event happening at the Palm Beach Zoo! Over 25 local breweries will be on site with live music, all available on the 7th of April at 6 PM – it’s Brew at the Zoo! Go to www.palmbeachzoo.org for more information regarding this fun evening.

Things are still hoppin’ in Palm Beach County this week, with Passover and Easter right around the corner, and Spring in the air!
It’s that time of year for Palm Beach Boat Show! This year it will be held from the 22nd of March to the 25th of March. It’s a four day event, with nearly a mile of boats that are in the water and all kinds of exhibitions along the West Palm Beach Waterfront off of Clematis Street. Fun for the whole family!
There are all kinds of outdoor activities this time of year with the weather being so beautiful, and with so many flowers in bloom. Here is a list of fun outdoor spaces to see!
Make sure that you stop at the Mounts Botanical Garden! Lots of foliage and many rare plants and flowers.
You can also stop by the Society of the Four Arts, they have a beautiful sculpture garden with a new exhibit.
The Palm Beach Zoo is just wonderful this time of year, and it may be because the animals are enjoying the weather too!
Check out Antique Row for some great window shopping! The area is now full of delicious restaurants like Table 26, Grato, Mazie’s, Cholo Soy Cocina and Belle and Maxwell to name a few, all on South Dixie Highway in the Antique Row Area.
My Charity Pick of the Week is Sweet Dream Makers, a non-profit organization based in Boca Raton, Florida, and they provide beds and bedding to struggling families. Check them out online, a very good cause.
One of my favorite entertainers, a two-time Tony Award Winner and my dear friend Christine Ebersole will be performing her Cabaret Show at the Parker Playhouse this Saturday night the 24th. There may not be any tickets left, so call immediately to see if you can get yourself a ticket –(954) 462 – 0222 – I would run, not walk, to see her sing!
I want to dedicate this week’s Buzz to the glamour and elegance of French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, who was a tremendous influence on my fashion career as a stylist. He dressed the biggest stars and public figures from Jaqueline Kennedy to Audrey Hepburn.

This week, everyone is green with envy to be here in Palm Beach County, since there is so much bitter cold and snow up North!
This St. Patty’s Day Weekend there is a lot of entertainment going on. On the 17th at Hutton in Old Northwood is featuring the jazz singer SAMM from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
Also, there is live music going on at Avocado Grill on Saturday night Downtown at the Gardens, as well as Sunday afternoon in both locations – Downtown at the Gardens and their actual downtown Datura street location. A fabulous place for brunch, and music and dancing!
Put it in your calendar: Sunday, March 18th, my little fourteen-year-old superstar Ava Faith will be singing at Double Roads Tavern. She’s like a little Ella Fitzgerald – fabulous!
Don’t miss Maycol and Lilian, performing at Aaron’s Table in Abacoa in Jupiter March 15th at 8 PM, before they head out to the South Pacific. They are a wonderful couple, and talented singers.
The fabulous Audra McDonald will be performing at the Kravis Center Saturday March 17th, and the Righteous Brothers on March 18th. They will both be at the Kravis, so check their schedule here for additional information. Top talent at the Kravis, as always!
Livestreamed from the Old Vic in London is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead on March 17th at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at the Society of Four Arts in their auditorium. Enjoy stars Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire -wonderful entertainment!
Another highlight in the art world this week is at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, featuring Laura Woodward’s Art of the Island. It transports you back to the earliest days of settlement in Palm Beach – wonderful paintings.
