Life is Flowering This April in Palm Beach County

With April showers, there is a lot of activity flowering in Palm Beach County this week.

PLANT-A-PALOOZA 2017 this week at Mount’s Botanical Garden is featuring and an amazing assortment of exotic plants and flowers. The best part is, you can take them home! It’s on Saturday and Sunday April 29th and 30th.

On April 21st from 5 to 8 PM, we have the APBC, Art on Park Gallery in Lake Park. It’s the opening reception for the Still Life 2017 Exhibit featuring artist Barry Seidman.

April 27th brings about the Love Fest 2017, an event at Rocco’s Tacos in Palm Beach Gardens to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Please call for a reservation through Revolution’s Dating. Don’t miss your spot at this Love Fest!

With the season coming to an end, there’s a celebration and it’s the End of the Season Party at Cafe L’Europe with entertainers Philippe Harari and Bobbi Rae! If you want to dance the night away, make your reservation soon or you won’t get a table. It’s going to be a fun night!

For you theater goers out there, if you’re a fan of Neil Simon, it’s They’re Playing Our Song at the Lake Worth playhouse April 15th through the 30th.

If you’re a social butterfly, and have a conscience, you’ll want to go to the Butterfly Ball! It benefit’s The Lord’s Place and St. Ann’s. It’s being held at the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach on Saturday April 22nd at 7 PM. Call Tierney O’Hara at 561-449-1212 to reserve a spot. It’s an exclusive Palm Beach party, and the funds raised go to a wonderful charity.

My movie pick of the week is The Zookeeper’s Wife. It’s a very moving story that takes place in 1939, in Warsaw, Poland.

A personal favorite of mine is seeing my little 13-year-old rising star Ava Faith sing at the Jazz Jam at Double Roads Tavern in Jupiter this Sunday April 23rd from 5 to 9 PM. Not to be missed!

Talking about The Colony, one of my favorite crooners is Michael Masci! He tickles the ivories and does his crooning thing at the Polo Lounge every Tuesday through Thursday night during the season. Hop over there, and make sure you don’t miss him – he’s a treat!

March is Roaring In Palm Beach

Fabulous February

It’s the month of love in Palm Beach County, and February 3rd, Friday night it’s Jazz at the Mandel Public Library in West Palm Beach with the Lynn Simone Quartet from 5:30 to 7:30 PM – delicious.

At Mar-a-Lago, we have the 59th Annual Cancer Society Rock Palm Beach 2017, February 10th – not to be missed.

Evita, the Tony Award Musical is playing at the Lake Worth Playhouse through February 5th. I’m particularly excited about the 10 x 10 exhibition at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach in Lake Worth from February 3rd until March 18th. I will have one of my own personal 10 x 10s in the exhibition, so please come and take a peek!

Directly from off Broadway, the comedy hit My Son The Waiter is at the PGA Art Center February 2nd until March 19th. It should hit your funny bone! In Boyton Beach, it’s the International Kinetic Art Opening starting February 3rd to the 5th, Art in Motion. Go to the symposiums, fascinating!

This Palm Beach Season is Sizzling Hot

The season continues to be sizzling hot!

Mark your calendars, the 26th of January, Armory Art Center’s big gala event, Purple Reign. Not to be missed, the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, it’s Todd McGrain’s “Lost Bird Project.” Very very interesting show for all ages – a memorial to extinct birds.

Speaking of animals, don’t forget to go to the Palm Beach Dramaworks to see their new play, Domestic Animals by Jennifer Faletto. The Golden Globe nominated picture Lion is my movie pick of the week!

Get a chance to see the Royal Park Bridge in Palm Beach! It’s all aglow in pink honoring breast cancer research and a race for the cure on January 28th.
