Annapolis, Md. – The Chesapeake Bay Has it All

Annapolis, Maryland – such a great place to be – especially in the summer, because of its beauty! It’s especially enjoyable being right on the Chesapeake Bay.

In addition to the town itself being one of the most historic towns in the country, it’s very well preserved with good shops and restaurants.

Downtown Annapolis, Maryland

There are many outdoor activities to do near Maryland’s capital city, such as boating, kayaking, water paddling, and swimming. There are plenty of things to do to keep you and the family cooled down!

Annapolis, Maryland

During summertime in Annapolis, there are more festivals than you can imagine. In August, the Rotary Club does the Annual Crab Fest, featuring some of the best fresh crab you’ll ever taste! Over 2,500 people end up coming to eat 345 bushels of crab meat.

Annual Crab Fest, Maryland

Every Sunday starting August 5th through November, experience the First Sunday Arts Fest, where over 100 local and regional artists display their works in the Arts District of downtown.

The Maryland Renaissance Festival is the second largest in the country, and not to be missed! It’s in its 41st season, and will be held in Revel Grove. It starts at the end of August and goes through September. There are over 130 craft shops and 42 food outlets.

Pizzazz and Jazz in Palm Beach County

It’s still a lot of pizzazz and jazz here in Palm Beach County this beginning of June!

Art After Dark at the Norton Museum this week should be wonderful. The featured exhibit includes short films by female directors directly from the Tribeca Film Festival as well as Sundance.

Norton’s Art After Dark

Clematis By Night is a fun thing to do free from 5 PM to 9 PM Thursday night as well. They will be debuting Fairytale Playhouses.

Watch for over a dozen fairytale playhouses in West Palm Beach!

It’s your last chance to see the musical Avenue Q at the Kravis Center this weekend – it’s fun for the whole family! Also, if you haven’t had a chance to go to the Palm Beach Dramaworks, go see Equus – it’s closing this weekend. Riveting!

Avenue Q – fun for the whole family

My movie pick of the week is Adrift starring Shailene Woodly. It’s based on a true story, featuring the amazing story of two people shipwrecked at sea – a must “sea” for sure!

A great romantic film for summer!

Always an amazing evening, be sure to go to the Second Year Anniversary Exhibition June 9th at The Box Gallery on Belvedere in West Palm Beach. For further information, contact the owner and artist Rolando Chang Barrero at 786-521-1199.
