Palm Beach County! After five months of traveling all over the country, it’s wonderful to be back home.

And with Halloween still in the air, Moonfest, with all kinds of goblins and ghosts, will be on Clematis Street this Saturday Night, November 2nd. It should be an amazing party!

Exploring Nature in Palm Beach County

This time of year, it’s such a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of all the natural beauty of Palm Beach County.

It’s not too crowded this time of year, and it’s much nicer than having to drive to the Everglades and navigate through the swamps. It’s easy to explore the Nature in our own backyard!

Green Cay Nature Center

These wonderful places in Palm Beach County have a multitude of recreational activities to enjoy. Places with boardwalks are great, because they are handicap accessible, and you can use the boardwalk to explore all the natural beauty of the swamp lands. There are trails to hike, and wonderful opportunities for bird-watching. You can see the most incredible flowers in bloom, wildlife, and plant life.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

Here are a few of my other favorite nature spots:

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse has tours, and has beautiful landscaping and natural plant life. Many of the other locations listed above allow you to get up close and personal to the scrubs, the rare plants, the birdwatching, the marshes, and more.

MacArthur Beach

This is the perfect time of year to explore the natural beauty around us. Many of these recreational activities are free! Just remember – whether you’re exploring Nature on a beautiful boardwalk, or hiking to a winery, it’s all about style.

Bonnie’s Buzzing About Artist Jill Karlin

Always buzzing about Art!

As a champion of the arts, I’m always on the lookout for artistic talent. Discovering artist Jill Karlin has been such a treat that I wanted to share her with all of you, now that her work is hanging proudly on my wall!

Bonnie’s Buzzing About Artist Jill Karlin

Visionary artist Jill Karlin is one of the most talented painters I have ever met. She specializes in “House Portraits,” which are 22 inch by 30 inch mixed media heirloom paintings. They reflect the stories, history, and memorabilia of your family home, personalized just for you and yours.

“Whimsical family histories, in classic American naïve style, mixed-media painting, called “house portraits,” can be made of your home, cottage, boat, building or organization. They document your building for eternity, and make marvelous heirlooms.” -Jill Karlin

If you’re ready to preserve your family history, capture your artistic nature or bring a creative mural to life, I’d be happy to help you make it happen by  putting you in touch with Jill. After your painting is completed, Jill can also make prints, cards, and souvenir items, so that other family members are able to enjoy the painting too.

For my own artwork needs, I commissioned a piece by Jill for my Florida loft! Rather than a House Portrait, I wanted to bring some color to my light uncovered wall. I’m so happy with how it turned out!
