This is a week to give thanks to everyone out there!

It’s a perfect week for Fellowship Friday. Go to palmbeachfellowship.net for further information.

The Fellowship is full of ideas on how to give back to our community.

There are all kinds of fun family activities such as A Christmas Story, now showing at the Lake Worth Playhouse.

Lake Worth Playhouse – catch a holiday show!

Get your tickets in advance for Carols By Candlelight at Old School Square in Delray Beach for Saturday December 2nd at 7 PM. Call their box office at 561-243-7922 for more information.

Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw cares away…🎶

Another fun activity for the family is Yesteryear Village, a living history park! It’s open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 AM until 4 PM. Just go to yesteryearvillage.com for all the details.

Learn about life before the 1940s.

A fabulous musical from Broadway, the Book of Mormon is at the Kravis Center this coming week, and you’ll want to get tickets – it’s a blast!

A must-see Broadway event!

My movie pick of the week is Daddy’s Home 2. It’s a perfect holiday film for the entire family, with John Lithgow, Mel Gibson, Mark Walhberg and Will Ferrell.

A great flick to catch with the family.

My charity pick this week is the Annual Achilles International, Spirit of America Holiday Dinner Dance honoring all the veterans and wounded vets of the Achilles Freedom Team. Go to achillesinternational.org for further information.

Swinging Stars in Palm Beach

West Palm Beach is always a blast!

This week in particular, run but don’t walk down to Dramaworks on Clematis Street to see Jill and Rich Switzer perform their tribute to Peggy Lee – it might be sold out, but give it a try!

Jill & Rich

Another fun event is the Society of Four Arts on Saturday the 18th at 8 PM, live from the Metropolitan Opera at New York’s Lincoln Center is the Exterminating Angel – their productions are flawless from start to finish. It’s truly an amazing world class production.

Exterminating Angels

Movie pick of the week – Murder on the Orient Express, a perfect film for the entire family! Starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh, with a star studded cast including Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Penelope Cruz. Doesn’t get better than that! Check the paper for local listings.

Now showing in Palm Beach, FL

In the art department, I recommend seeing the Alex Katz show at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Unlike most of the exhibits where they show large paintings, they are showing 37 of his petite canvasses, painted between 1990 and 2013. It’s a fabulous show.

My charity pick of the week is Peppermint Bark & Brunch, to benefit the Tri-County Animal Shelter. Call them directly for further information! The event is on the 19th.

A fun event for a great cause.

Also on Sunday the 19th, between 2 PM and 5 PM at the Eissey Theatre, Legends Radio is sponsoring a wonderful concert of a new rising star – Ethan Bortnick. The critics are calling him the new Michael Buble! I’ll be there in the lobby to meet and greet everyone, and give you those fashion tips for the season.

A Theatrical Season in West Palm Beach

It’s so exciting to be back home in Palm Beach!

There is so much wonderful entertainment going on in the theaters in the area.  Little Foxes now showing at the Dramaworks in West Palm, Born Yesterday is at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, I Will Survive at the PGA Arts Centre, and at the Kravis it’s The King and I.

Treat yourself to a night of theater.

At the Old School Square in Del Ray is Fleetwood Max, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

Swoon over these great tunes.

My movie pick of the week is Wonderstruck. A visually engrossing tale with Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams. It’s always fun to see a great film! Check the paper for local movie theaters and their times.

Wonderstruck, now playing in West Palm Beach.

For an evening out, a  personal favorite of mine is heading over to the Polo Lounge at The Colony Hotel to see Raquel Williams on a Saturday night. She has a jazz pianist, a bass player, and it’s a great chance to dance. It always makes for an enjoyable evening, and there are usually surprise guests every Saturday night.

Stay Safe East Coast!

We’re just getting through the heels of Irma, and Harvey before that, and now we have Jose working its way up to Nantucket with tropical storm gusts and rain. Now Hurricane Maria is working its way up to Florida and the East Coast.

It’s so important to listen for emergency updates, evacuation notices, and updates from the National Hurricane Center. Track the progress of the storms by visiting their website, here.

I just want to wish everybody, from Florida all the way across the United States and up North here in New England a safe week! My best wishes to everyone at Legends Radio, and all the listening audience.

God Bless,

-Bonnie
