Bonnie’s Buzzing About Saratoga Springs, New York

Most people think of the Big Apple, but Saratoga Springs is New York’s hidden gem.

If you’re looking for an activity for the entire family, consider the Adirondack Adventure Center. You can explore the treetops filled with tree houses and zip lines. For something a little more low key, the Yaddo Gardens offer exquisite plants and flowers in a serene and tranquil setting.

Another fun spot to peruse is the Saratoga Automobile Museum. See car models evolve through the eras, along with sneak peeks at new modern designs. End your evening by sipping some local flavors at the Saratoga Winery, complete with a beautiful deck to sit on and enjoy the nature.

Bonnie’s Buzzing About Portland, Maine

I love this gorgeous East Coast city on the water, and I’m here to tell you why Portland, Maine is the main event!

The first thing you’ll want to do is explore Portland’s Historic District. Nicknamed “Old Port,” you’ll witness historic building facades, fishermen displaying their daily catches, and an abundance of shops and restaurants. There will be many opportunities for cruises and boat rides, too. If you’re feeling adventurous, visit the Casco Bay Islands off the coast, which are accessible by ferry year round, offering visitors beaches and island activities.

There’s so many fabulous cultural activities to do in Portland.

Bonnie’s Buzzing About Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville, North Carolina! One of the sweetest Southern cities I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Here’s everything you need to know for your next visit.

One of your first stops in Asheville should be the Biltmore. This beautiful and historic Vanderbilt estate boasts its own winery, gardens and a 4 star inn. Tour the grounds and get a bite to eat while you’re there. If you’re still hungry, take a bite out of Southern Cuisine with the Eating Asheville food tour! Learn more about the history of the area, learn about up and coming restaurants and food trends, and more.

Biltmore Estate

Asheville has a bustling art scene, so be sure to explore the River Arts District. Every second Saturday, there are open sessions, classes, and art activities. It certainly won’t be hard to find musical entertainment in Asheville! You can check their music calendar for weekly events, and there’s even a guide on where to go dancing

The second most popular destination after the Biltmore is the famous Appalachian Trail. Stretching from Georgia to Maine, many of the trail’s miles are right in North Carolina. If you’re not much for wooded trails, explore Asheville’s Urban Trail! This self-guided trail is not even two miles, and weaves you through the cultural and architectural history of the city.
