Buzzin’ in Bucks County

New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania! It’s just outside of Philadelphia, close to where I grew up.

It’s so quant, and full of charming restaurants, galleries, and they’re famous for their Bucks County Playhouse. People come from all over the country not just for the landscape views, but also for the arts and entertainment programs.

Exploring downtown Bucks County

They have a wonderful Children’s Museum, and there are 8 family-owned wineries in the area. There are a multitude of tours in the area to enjoy, along with hiking trails and the Bucks County Railroad. It’s the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad.

The Big Easy, NOLA

New Orleans! The Big Easy! A lovely time of year to stroll the French Quarter…

There is so much activity going on in this vibrant city day or night. Jackson Square is the center of the quarter, and has tons of fun people watching. You want to start your day at Cafe du Monde, for a little Beignet and some great coffee. Enjoy a beautiful view of the St. Louis Cathedral.

Bourbon Street with its Jazz is a must – coming out of every window and doorway, you’ll hear the tunes of the old Southern Jazz. It’s like having your own soundtrack while you walk down the street!

Royal Street is another fabulous street of antique shops, galleries and boutiques! While you’re in the French Quarter, be sure to head to the National WWII Museum, it’s one of the best in the United States.

Falling in Love with Fall Approaching in Nantucket

Nantucket…The Grey Lady! September is the most beautiful month of the year here. On island, the temperature is still mild, and the leaves are just starting to turn to their beautiful hues of gold, red and bronze.

There are so many wonderful activities happening in the arts and entertainment. The Artist Association of Nantucket holds their Annual 10 x 10 Show, where all island residents are welcome to participate. I’m so excited – I’m doing six pieces for the show!

One of my 10×10 submissions – living each day to the fullest!

Coming up the first week of October is the Nantucket Shorts Festival. I’m in the midst of directing a film short that will be making its debut there this fall – stay tuned! More buzzing about that later!

My film will center around my magical journey of my silicone scarves!

Although Nantucket is known for it’s boating, biking and hiking, it’s also known for it’s second oldest library in the United States, the Nantucket Atheneum. They provide free programming from morning until night, with a rotating schedule of the most fabulous guest speakers.

So whether you’re strolling down Main Street on Nantucket, or you’re walking through CityPlace in West Palm Beach, remember, it’s all about style. Coming into the fall season, it’s time to change up your wardrobe.
